About

From director to masseur

After 15 years working as a finance director, my body led me to a new purpose of my life. And because life naturally wants to be in balance, I toggled the switch from purely mental work to work with the body. This does not include only the massages that I do for living today, but also yoga, martial arts, jogging, dancing, meditation, surfing and more. And when I had a half-year off after I handed in my notice, I asked myself: What would you do if you had unlimited time and money? In response, exactly these activities came to me.

In the finance area, I tried out serving performance, working under pressure, with people and mentally, which is often exhausting and connected with tension.

That’s why I was looking for effective and practical ways to get back to balance quickly. What did I enjoy doing most? It was always associated with the body, breath and experiencing. The activities included, for example, reflexology and Thai massage, sauna, hardening, hiking, jogging, surfing, etc. All of them bring so much joy, relaxation and tranquillity, when you turn your head off and experience what IS through the body.

And that’s why I see so much sense in massages. Returning people from the head back to the body. By touching, simply switching from the mental plane to experiencing the body, relaxing it.

The body and experiencing the body is our connection with intuition, peace and being. And we can achieve all this right through physical or gentle massages, where one connects with her-/himself by releasing tension from the nervous system and stiff muscles. And all this makes even more sense to me when I know that about 60 % of all health issues are of psychosomatic origin.
