Breuss Massage + Dorn Method

Breuss massage is a very gentle spine massage, which is carried out by specific slow gentle grips and has very favourable relaxing effects on the spine.

Mostly, this massage is performed after Dorn method, in which we straighten e.g. the vertebrae herniation.

Often, St John’s wort oil is applied on the spine after the massage, having very good nourishing effects on vertebral discs.

When is Breuss massage recommended?

Breuss massage is recommended especially if the client is dealing with various problems of the spine, intervertebral discs and their nutrition.

The massage is very gentle and relaxing, so supports possible convalescence.

When is not Breuss massage recommended?

Contraindications are similar to those of relaxing massage with the addition of St. John’s wort allergy.

Thus, it is not performed in cases of:

– fever, increased body temperature

– infectious and inflammatory diseases

– cold

– cancer

– conditions requiring bed rest

– major bleeding conditions (haemophilia, leukaemia, gastric ulcers)

– varicose veins

– impaired skin integrity 

– after taking pain medication, blood clotting medication, or perception or consciousness changing substances

Why do we always use St. John's wort oil in BM?

The cold-pressed St John’s wort oil has very strong nourishing effects on intervertebral discs.
